Apr 02, · The steam is driving me mad, mods sometimes appear and sometimes not, workshop either works or doesn't. Give me back CD in a box, downloading doesn't really seem like you actually own the bloody game. After subscribing to Workshop items in Steam, the items appear in-game under Steam Workshop, but not under Mods. Therefore, I have no access to the on/off switch for the items and I am fairly certain that they have not been downloaded. I have taken the following steps and nothing has changed: restart Cities: Skylines. restart Steam. restart my computer. Help me - Steam Workshop mods not loading/downloading So I've just subscribed some things in Steam Workshop and hoped that they'll be installed on my PC. However, when I'm launching Skyrim and looking at Downloaded category, there are NO mods, but the official Bethesda DLCs.

I have an issue when I subscribe a mod from Workshop it doesn't initiate the download. If it does initiate it, it shows up in downloads but doesn't progress at all. If I restart Steam the download is gone and nothing happens. I have tried subscribing then restarting Steam in administrator mode - then unsubscribing and subscribing again and then waiting for few minutes.
Last night I had success with this method and I was able to download couple of mods. However I still don't have everything what I have subscribed from the Workshop.
I haven't been able to initiate a single mod download. I know there is a thread somewhere in the discussion about a procedure what to follow but issue is now that the downloads won't even start. To add - at least in the past I haven't tried it recently I didn't have any issues with Stellaris or HoI4 mods from Workshop, they worked instantly. I have yet to try external Workshop downloader but I wouldn't want to try this as I want officially supported way and if the Workshop has been implemented to Steam it should work Could this be a bug related to the free release?

I had this issue a while back, i solved it by uninstaling the game and reinstalling it again. Maybe worth a try. Cool beans.
Because king is not a king if he cannot torture his people! Update: I was able to start download and after it completed the 'mod' directory is still empty. I just don't I give up honestly. Life is too short for this kind of b. I could complain about how Valve makes millions and Thanks for the help though! I'm having a similer problem. Subscribed mods not being available.
Enabling the Steam Cloud and Verifiying does not work. I think now after few weeks, some of the mods have updated and now they've been downloading out of the blue. Help me - Steam Workshop mods not loading/downloading So I've just subscribed some things in Steam Workshop and hoped that they'll be installed on my PC.
